Web Hosting
Web hosting is where you rent space and bandwidth through a company so that you can publish your website online.
Yes, we can host any domain name. It doesn't matter whether it's a .co.nz, .com, .com.au, or anything else.
No we won't.
WebHost-Lite is great for small brochure websites that don't have a customer log-in or need to accept credit card payments.
WebHost-Lite + is great if you've got a bit more functionality to your website. It includes a database for web applications and content management systems.
WebHost-Standard comes with more space, for a bigger website, also good if you have a popular forum or a lot products for sale.
WebHost-Pro is designed for large websites with high traffic, and lots of products for sale.
WebHost-Elite if you have a large website, with a lot of traffic then this is the plan for you.

No. Your domain should be registered in your name, you can simply update your nameservers (from where you manage your domain names) to that of your new hosting provider. We'll assist you with this.
Just contact us and we'll manage the whole migration process at no charge to you.
Most of the time there's no reason you can't change companies, although your current provider might not want you to go!

Email Services
Also known as junk email or unsolicited bulk email, spam is email that is unsolicited and sent in bulk.
Spammers collect email addresses from chatrooms, websites, customer lists, newsgroups, and viruses which harvest users' address books, and are sold to other spammers.
Our system will send you an Anti-Spam Report showing you any messages that could potentially have been picked up incorrectly. You then have the option to release the message or to whitelist the sender so no email from that person will be blocked in the future. This makes it extremely simple to use for even the most technically challenged people.
Never respond to spam, even something as simple as "Don't spam me" will show that your email address is valid. Just delete the spam and contact us to sign up for our Anti-Spam.
In New Zealand we have the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, which says "A person must not send, or cause to be sent, an unsolicited commercial electronic message that has a New Zealand link
Cloud computing is Internet ("cloud") based development and use of computer technology. It is a style of computing in which IT-related capabilities are provided "as a service". This allows users to access technology-enabled services from the Internet ("in the cloud") without knowledge of, expertise with, or control over the technology infrastructure that supports them.
IaaS stands for Infrastructure as a Service. This is when you rent/lease the required resources for your server or service on an as needs basis from a Service provider. You only pay for what you use.
SaaS is when a service is provided end to end by a service provider. This means they also provide and manage the software that is used by or for the service. Examples of SaaS are SalesForce.com, Google Apps as well as our own Premium Email service.
HA stands for High Availability.
High availability is a term that is given to a system that is engineered so that it has additional capacity and automated failover so that it can recover from an outage without human intervention.
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. A Virtual Private Network is a means of ensuring that all traffic between two computer systems is encrypted before it is transferred across a network. This is to ensure that there can be no interception or tampering of the data while it is in transit. It is often used with clouds as people often have a secure system that sits within the cloud but needs to be securely accessed from their office location or locations.
With Cloud Servers you can deploy a server in a few minutes versus waiting for a physical server deployment. You can also resize a Cloud server frequently. Dedicated servers usually involve term contracts and setup fees and cost an upfront cost when you need to add capacity. Dedicated servers are also vulnerable in that they are a single server and reliant on the hardware and hard drives in that physical server. A Cloud server is built on redundant hardware backed by redundant storage arrays (SAN) to ensure much higher reliability.

It is enabled by default, however we can disable this individually. If you completely turn off cell/roaming then you won't be charged, If you connect via our SIM to a foreign network then a roaming pack will be charged regardless of use.
You wont be able to use data by default. However for safety reasons, you will still be able to Text or Call.
A physical SIM is a small card that you insert into your phone to connect to a mobile network. An eSIM is a digital SIM that's built into your phone, so you don’t need a physical card. Both serve the same purpose, but eSIMs are faster to activate and more convenient because you don’t have to swap out a card.
Customers can check if their phone supports eSIM by following these steps:
For iPhone Users
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Cellular or Mobile Data.
3. If your phone supports eSIM, you’ll see an option to "Add Cellular Plan" or "Add eSIM".
- If this option is available, your iPhone supports eSIM.
For Android Users
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Go to Network & Internet or Connections.
3. Look for Mobile Network or SIM card manager.
4. If eSIM is supported, you’ll see an option to "Add Mobile Plan" or "eSIM".
- If this option is available, your Android device supports eSIM.
Alternatively, customers can check their phone's model number on the manufacturer's website or user manual to confirm if it supports eSIM.
Not all phones support eSIMs. Only certain models and newer smartphones are equipped with eSIM technology. Popular phones that support eSIM include:
- iPhones (from iPhone XS and later)
- Google Pixel (Pixel 3 and later)
- Samsung Galaxy (some models from the Galaxy S20 and later)
- Some newer Android phones (like those from Motorola, Huawei, and others)
TCF stands for Telecommunications Carriers Forum. It's a non-profit organization in New Zealand that works to promote industry standards, improve service quality, and handle consumer issues related to telecommunications. The TCF is responsible for managing the porting process when you move your phone number from one provider to another. This involves verifying that the customer has authorized the transfer and ensuring that all the necessary steps are followed for a smooth transition.
WiFi Calling allows you to make and receive calls, send text messages and MMS messages using a suitable WiFi connection, even if there is no mobile coverage.
▪ If you have limited or no mobile coverage, but you have an active WiFi connection can make calls automatically over the WiFi connection.
▪ Devices must be WiFi Calling capable mobile devices.
